We just presented our six month report to the Board. Overall, the numbers of calls we handle has
not increased compared to last year. We handled
a few more alarm calls and our vehicle collisions are less than they were this
time last year. Burglaries are up- we
are working closely with the Sheriff on these cases. Although we have a spike in burglaries,
the crime rate here is low. Residents
are encouraged to lock up and turn the alarm on! Many of our burglaries are entry through unlocked
doors- simple steps can deter the crooks and keep your place safe. Take good, clear photos or video of your valuables- jewelry, computers, cameras, etc. Take a picture of the serial number if it has one. Keep it up to date too.
If you see anyone that doesn’t belong, or a car that doesn’t
fit, call us. We will check it out. Call right away. It doesn’t help to hear about a suspicious person
two or three days after the fact.
