San Dieguito Half Marathon Reminder

San Dieguito Half Marathon- Road Closures February 14, 2016

The San Dieguito Half Marathon will be held Sunday February 14, 2016.  It starts from San Dieguito Park, runs through the ranch and finishes at the Park. Several of the legs of the race are repeat out and back.  There is a three hour time limit for participants, so we expect outlying roads may open as runners have cleared and it is safe to open the road.
Refer to the map below.  Please plan your trips that morning. Look for an alternate route.   The race should be over by 11:30 or so. If you leave your home and you live within the race route, you may not be able to get back to it until the last runners clear the roadPlease plan your trips accordingly to avoid delays.

Here is the "official" notification:

Update on Road Closures

Over the past 24 hours we experienced a very high wind/rain storm.  As a result many trees  were blown over.  Several hit telephone/power poles and took out electric and telephone service.
We cannot give you an estimate when those will be restored.  You can go to SDGE website and or call them for detailed information.  Here is their link:http://www.sdge.com/safety/outages/outage-map

Be careful in your travels, look for tree limbs that are low,  wires in the roadway. Do not drive around closures.  Know an alternate way to your destination.

Streets that are closed as of 2:30pm 2/1/16:

1.  Las Planideras, 15100-15200 block
2.  El Mirlo, 5100-5200 block
3.  La Valle Plateada, 6300 block
