In the past couple of days we have had burglaries that have occurred in the morning- 7:30 am and about 8:15 am. The suspects have broken windows to gain entry. Fortunately, no one was home and the alarms activated detterring the suspect.
We want to remind everyone to be sure to lock the house, and turn your alarm systems on. If you see anyone suspicious, call us right away 756-4372 or 756-9966.

San Dieguito Half Marathon February 10 Road Closures
The Association has been notified that the 45th Annual San Dieguito Half-Marathon and 5K Walk will be taking place on Sunday, February 10, 2013.
Our apologies for the late notice, but we were just informed. This
event has an annual attendance of nearly 1,500 participants, volunteers
and spectators.
Local traffic will have access throughout
the route, although there may be some traffic delays. Please drive
carefully throughout the route. The California Highway Patrol will
provide personnel along with course marshals to assist in providing a
safe event for participants and allowing residents access on the roads.
The road closures will be from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (depending on the
area).

Mountain Lion Sighting
On Monday January 21 at about 11:45pm a resident who lives in the 16700 blk of Via De Santa Fe observed a young mountain lion in his backyard. It was reported that the cat was possibly chasing gophers. There was no contact made with humans.

Home Invasion Suspects
Do they look familiar to you? The men you see in the sketches are wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery last month. It happened December 20th in the 5000 block of El Mirlo. The men entered the home and Suspect#2 held the housekeeper at gunpoint during the robbery. The housekeeper was not hurt. SYNOPSIS:
On December 20, 2012, shortly after 3:00 p.m., deputies from the Encinitas Patrol Station responded to a reported home invasion robbery in the 5000 block of El Mirlo in Rancho Santa Fe. The investigation revealed two suspects gained entry into the home. The homeowners were not at the residence at the time of the robbery; however, the housekeeper was at the residence and was held at gunpoint as the suspects ransacked the home. After ransacking the home, the suspects secured the housekeeper so she could not call for law enforcement until she was found several hours later by a family member. The housekeeper was not injured. The loss does include jewelry but the exact items and the amount of loss is still under investigation at this time.
The suspects have been described as follows:
Suspect #1: White male adult, 25-30 years of age, tall, with long blond hair
Suspect #2: White male adult, 25-30 years of age, shorter, with a baseball cap
Suspect Vehicle: Light metallic blue Kia or similar style vehicle

Mountain Lion
A Mountain Lion was sighted on
11/03/12, at approximately 20:45 hours, in the side yard of a residence located
in the 4700 block of El Mirar. The
animal was not aggressive and was traveling north through the property towards El
Mirar. The Department of Fish and Game and
the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department were notified, DFG reference number
212349338.
